You Need Fitness Food Tours

February 27, 2008

Don’t know about you, but my schedule is hectic. While I schedule nearly everything, my food choices are usually the first things that get passed over. Healthy gives way to quick and processed.

You need fitnessDerek Frazier of the Richmond Hill You Need Fitness gym and bootcamp has developed a way to help folks like me out. He hosts a food tour at a local grocery store every other Saturday.

This Saturday’s tour will be at Publix starting at 9am. You can also catch him at Kroger at the same time on March 15th.

RSVPs are required and you can do so by emailing him at derek@youneedfitness.com.

Welcome Angus McLeod to Blogging Richmond Hill

February 22, 2008

Angus McLeodI am thrilled to introduce to you someone you probably already know.

Angus McLeod married up when Mrs. Gretchen said yes and was blessed when he became a father twice. He is an active member of the community and is a Realtor at Re/Max Accent.

He is a regular contributor for Richmond Hill Reflections Magazine and I am going to bring him online. I enjoy my conversations with Angus and I am betting you will too.

Starting March 1st, Angus will bring us visions of the Ogeechee. I have seen the first post and the pictures that go with it. If the natural beauty of coastal Georgia is one of the reason you live in Richmond Hill, these pictures will certainly appeal to you.

And who knows – he may have more to say if we ask him the right questions.

SMA Charity Yard Sale

February 19, 2008

So Many Angels is a local non-profit created to help wage war against Spinal Muscular Atrophy. Our community was blessed with angels, Skylar and Cassidy, in 1997. They were diagnosed with SMA and their family and their community rallied around them.

You can find more information about SMA Angels by visiting their website.

After you do that, show your support at the SMA Yard Sale on Saturday, March 1st, at the Ford Plaza in Richmond Hill.

**Special Thanks to Andrea Hillis of Hillis Photography for giving me the heads up.

Show Me Richmond Hill

February 13, 2008

In case you haven’t heard, there is an initiative brought about by private business owners in the area to promote Richmond Hill as a community. If this idea is new to you, don’t worry – you can catch up on the skinny here.

In the interest of full disclosure, I have agreed to be a member of the interim board. Why? Well, first I think the idea is sound and second I think I can be a useful party in looking at the particulars – not to mention associating with the other phenom folks on the committee.

If you want to check out the actual marketing plan from Robertson and Markowitz, participate, or just see what it is all about, meet us at Glazer’s at 4:30PM, Tuesday, February 19th.
